Hi I’m Hannah — a mom of two toddlers, two dogs, a flock of chickens, and countless plants. I’m also the wife of my best friend, Rich, with whom I co-own Ruby Environmental Services Inc., Rooted Light’s sister company. I created Rooted Light as a space where land and human healing come together through intuition, education, and grounded, earth-based wisdom.
My love for plants runs deep, passed down ancestrally through my gardening grandparents and supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, extensive coursework in soil science and plant studies, and years of hands-in-the-earth experience. I’m also a Reiki Master with some training in Reiki Shamanism, Crystal Reiki, and Plant Spirit Reiki, which allows me to support both people and land on energetic and spiritual levels.
While I’m deeply passionate about my work with Ruby Environmental, restoring landscapes and helping land recover from invasive plant pressure, my truest calling lies in helping people reconnect with the earth and experience the healing it has to offer.
My goal through Rooted Light, is to guide others into deeper relationship with the natural world and to empower them to listen to their inner wisdom whether through intuitive garden mentorship, land-based healing sessions, or simply remembering how to listen to the land.
This work weaves together science, spirit, and stewardship, rooted in the understanding that remembering our connection to the earth is the first step toward true healing.
