I was a licensed mental health counselor from 2009-2024 with a private practice.

My specialties include anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and relaxation techniques.

I have taught meditation and mindfulness and stress reduction classes since 1995, as well as being a yoga teacher since 1996.

I have been trained in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, Sufi Mysticism, Peruvian Shamanism, Esoteric Christianity, and Native American Spirituality. I bring this unique, eclectic perspective to my sessions.

My approach is from a spiritual and compassionate perspective. I guide individuals to explore their lives in a safe, nurturing setting empowering them to move toward a resolution of problems and forward on the path to healing and a sense of well-being. I have a holistic heart-centered approach which usually includes how to bring mindfulness into your daily life, and often concludes with a guided meditation.

You will learn concrete techniques to improve anxiety, depression, self-esteem, positive body image, and self-compassion. You will learn strategies to decrease trauma, deal with grief and loss, and improve your ability to find forgiveness.  I offer traditional modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as relaxation techniques for sleep and reducing stress.
